Eutectic systems, like the EutectiCore by OzeFridge, are perfect for situations where power supply is limited or unpredictable, such as off-grid living or marine use. These systems:

  • Use up to 50% less power as a fridge and 20% less as a freezer.
  • Automatically run when power is abundant (e.g., during peak solar hours), reducing battery usage.

Key Benefits:

  1. Better Efficiency (COP): A eutectic system removes up to 1.8 watts of heat per watt of power, compared to 1.1 watts for traditional systems.
  2. Fewer Start-Ups: It starts only 1–2 times daily, saving energy compared to cyclic systems that start 40–60 times a day.
  3. Battery-Friendly: With ECO2, the EtectiCore system uses surplus power directly from solar or generators to refreeze, avoiding battery drain.

Both units are designed using the latest EutectiCore technology and the best choice depends on your setup:

A490 Air-Cooled: Ideal for small to medium-sized cabinets in well-ventilated spaces.

AW490 Air and Water-Cooled: Perfect for larger cabinets, confined spaces, or tropical climates.

  • Automatically switches to water cooling when temperatures exceed 43°C.
  • Uses fresh water (not seawater) to prevent corrosion or fouling.

A Soft Start compressor reduces the energy surge during startup, protecting your power system. The Motor Driver Module (MDM) ensures the compressor starts gradually, preventing damage caused by high current inrush, which is common in traditional systems.

ECO2 activates the fridge whenever there’s surplus power (e.g., fully charged batteries or solar energy). This:

  • Converts unused energy into cooling power.
  • Reduces the need to run the fridge on battery later, saving energy and extending battery life.

OzeFridge designed condensers are thermostatically managed between 38°C and 43°C, optimising performance in both hot and cold environments. Built with Cupro-nickel tubing and coated for corrosion resistance, it ensures long-lasting reliability in marine and remote conditions.

The Ozefridge BE90 compressor has a 3.5cc capacity, significantly larger than standard options like the BD35 (2.0cc) or BD50 (2.5cc). This larger capacity allows the compressor to work more efficiently by:

Running Easier: It operates smoothly under normal conditions, with extra capacity available when needed.

Storing Cooling Energy Faster: During periods of abundant power (e.g., solar peak), the larger compressor stores thermal energy more quickly, ensuring your system is ready for times when power is limited.

Balanced Power Usage: While the BE90 draws more current during operation, it runs for shorter periods, resulting in no increase in overall energy consumption.

This design ensures optimal performance and energy efficiency, especially for off-grid and remote applications.

The pipe length for your Ozefridge refrigeration system is customised to your needs, typically 2 metres but adjustable. The pipe exits from the top of the eutectic plate and can be positioned left or right based on your setup.
